About Groba Feeding Systems

Groba Feeding Systems was founded from practical experience in pig farming. The company originated on the De Groot family pig farm in Balgoij, the Netherlands, where the need arose for a more hygienic, durable and efficient pig feeding system with significantly less feed wastage. This practical innovation became the foundation of today’s Groba feeding equipment.

Since 2023, Groba Feeding Systems has been owned and managed by Lieke and Daan Boekhorst. As active pig producers, they understand the daily challenges faced by modern pig farms. Their own operation includes approximately 880 breeding sows and 8,000 finishing pigs. They also own Boekhorst Trading , specialising in second-hand livestock equipment, and Farminc ., a supplier of feed additives and manure management solutions.

Having used Groba pig feeders on their own farm for many years, the Boekhorst family has extensive hands-on experience with every aspect of the products. This practical knowledge continues to drive the development of innovative feeding systems that improve feed conversion, reduce feed waste and support healthier pig production.

Groba Feeding Systems is located in Horssen, centrally positioned in the Netherlands and close to the German border and ports with strong overseas connections. From this facility we design, manufacture and supply premium pig feeders, feeding systems and drinking systems for professional pig producers worldwide.
