The Ballfeeder is filled with alfalfa or chopped straw. By pushing up the ball with their nose, the pigs retrieve small portions of alfalfa from the feeder during the day. The dispensed alfalfa or straw that ends up on the dense floor or floorboard is extremely suitable as rooting material and edible. The Groba Ballfeeder is a permanent form of enrichment as the pigs can always engage with the ball, even when it is empty.
