The Groba Sow-Piglet Feeder is suitable for feeding the sow and suckling piglets simultaneously, thanks to its lowered and highly accessible trough.

The system can be used in loose farrowing pens, farrowing-to-weaning pens, or conventional farrowing pens, in both new builds and renovations. Thanks to the low trough, the lowered pendulum mechanism, and the round design, suckling and weaned piglets can easily consume feed without spilling. This prevents feed waste and promotes feed intake.

Thanks to the round shape, suckling piglets have extra space—65 cm in total—to mimic the sow’s behavior and learn to eat as early as possible. We have also designed the edges of the opening with a slope to prevent piglets from running through or playing in the feeder, while still ensuring maximum accessibility.

With this hygienic system, you can feed pellets, meal, and CCM. Thanks to the simple dosing mechanism with fifteen different settings, animals always have access to optimal fresh feed. Additionally, the family feeder is available with or without a water supply, and a second additional water line can be installed.

The Groba Sow-Piglet feeder is also available in a version without a pendulum mechanism. The height of the trough, and thus the feed capacity, can be custom-made. This is ideal when larger portions of feed are provided at once. Please contact us for more information.
